Hey y’all, just wanted to share my quick tip for keeping bananas fresher longer using Glad Press ‘N Seal wrap. Until they make bananas that ripen at different rates in the same bunch, here’s what I do:
Step 1: Separate the bananas. Even if you don’t do Step 2 & 3, I recommend doing this step. Sometimes when you pull a banana off the bunch it will tear open another banana – that’s no good!
Step 2: Unroll 2-3″ of the Glad Press ‘N Seal wrap, tear off.
Step 3: Wrap the strip of wrap around the stem of the banana, round and round. This wrap sticks to itself and works GREAT. Regular plastic wrap will do the job, but isn’t as tidy in my experience.
That’s it!
Note: I’m not being paid by anyone to promote this product. I just think it’s a great way to use it.
Have a great weekend!
Susan
You mean that all your bananas don’t get eaten the minute you bring them home, my family can eat a dozen a day or more. I thought you were going to tell me how to have some of them saved for the next day, or even for banana bread.
Haha! That is a different problem altogether, I believe! If you figure that one out, let me know. 🙂
